Cold most of the time is a viral illness where there could be running nose sneezing along with cough and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration . steam inhalation will also be useful in this . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antritussives medicine which should be used once a proper evaluation by the doctor is done and according to the type of cough its prescreibed. if any fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the temperature and the dose can be repeated again after 6 hours if required .

We don’t recommend you to give any medicine without consulting the doctor as that is not correct she few want to go ahead with any medication I suggest you kindly talk to your doctor regarding this and if they suggest you for any medicine that you can go ahead with
