Q.

#asktheexperts my baby is 3years 5 months..she is not eating normal meals like rice,dal or roti sabji ..if grinded she will eat,but not eating as such..she has trouble in potty..we have been trying to make her sit on potty chair,but she won't do it and will do potty only in pants.. what should we do, please suggest

A. at this age the child should pass stool regularly. if the consistency is hard and the child is having pain while passing stool it is considered as constipation. give plenty of water and fibre diet to the child it is important to give fibre diet from cereals pulses vegetables and fruits avoid giving zmore than 400 ml milk everyday and avoid giving packet and processed foods as well as biscuits and refined food adding pazpaya , fennel seeds water , oats pear prunes pineapple banana kishmish to the regular diet will help in decreasing constipation.
