#asktheexperts my 4 month old son is having cold and cough since 2 weeks. I m giving him solvin cold drops but no good results..plz help sir..

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very usefful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per the symptoms .
Steam inhalation is repeated frequently .

You Also start nebulising your child twice a day till the time the medicine lost into the machine because nebulisation will help in building down the congestion out of the chest and throat of your child and it would be easier for your child to feel better after that so try doing
