#asktheexperts Hi Dr. My wife delivered my baby girl on 28th Nov 2025 and after one month she diagnosed with non spreadable TB as it did not spread to lungs kindly advice do we have to test my 3 months baby for TB ? as our doctor said below one year baby we do not recommend precautionary medicine for TB kindly advice ur opinion

A. I think it would be good for you to wait till the age of one year and after that you can go ahead with that as your doctor actually correct the medicines cannot be suggested under the age of one year if you want to go for a test you can but there would be no medication given it’s better that you wait till the age of one
