#asktheexperts hi doctor my baby had loose stool n vomiting along with fever since saturday.pediatrician gave her cefixime,zinc,enterogermenia .she was passing only one stool since last 2 days but today again she had 2-3 episodes that too loose.is it normal to have this way or wat else need to be done

Loose motion are most of the time infective where it is associated with fever and vomiting and its known as gastroenteritis where symptoxmatic treatment along with manazgement for dehydration is required if loose motions are associated with foul smell mucous high grade fever than it could be bacterial infection which needs antibiotics treatment
