#asktheexperts dr I need to ask my kid of 7yr 8 Mo got infected with mild chicken pox a month ago ; should I get the shot the chicken pox vaccine now since I missed the vaccine tone given at 4 to 6 yr age and should I get him a shot in reference to current infection he got. Thanks

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. it is very important to confirm the diagnosis before you are planning to avoid the vaccine so meet your doctor who will tell you whether the child is eligible for the chicken pox vaccine or not
