Q.

#asktheexpert My son is 20 months old and we have got all vaccinations done as per Govt. vaccination schedule card. But Chicken pix vaccination is not mentioned in the vaccination card and government doctors have said that the same is also not required. If you wish to get the vaccination then visit private hospitals. is chicken pox vaccination mandatory? kindly suggest. Regards, Arpit Gupta

A. Hello my dear parent! Yes, it is advisable to get the chickenpox vaccination done for your child to keep away from the spread. You can speak to a private health practitioner in this matter to guide you further. Good luck and take care.
