#AskTheExpert my son has nephrotic syndrome. we are giving steroids with decreasing quantity as time pass by, is there any other alternative medicine to it? he is 1 year 3.5 months. it started when he was 1 year old

Dr. Vaibhav jainFather of a 5 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. babies and nephrotic syndrome it is a disease which can affect the kidney in the long run so better to keep in touch with a pediatrician and follow up every time make sure what precautions we have to use

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy4 years agoA. Nephrotic syndrome is almost always treatable, but the treatment depends on the cause. Kids with nephrotic syndrome usually are treated by a nephrologist (a doctor who specializes in kidney problems). To treat minimal change disease, the doctor will prescribe: Prednisone.
