#asktheexpert my child is getting cold and cough and we are using antibiotics for that last month we have used nearly 3 bottles of antibiotics is that good to go or any other efforts. this cold starts from this rainy season now also he has cold

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. whenever there is prolonged cold and cough not improving it can be due to either infection or allergy. also when oral medicines are not working you may have to go for nebulization and the next best option would be inhaler with the help of a spacer. it is also important to take care of that and not give any sugary diet as well as all the food which might be causing increase in cold and cough. avoid outside eatablecs as well as packet foods like biscuits chocolates ice cream. try to prevent temperature variations which might trigger cold and cough again and again
