#AskTheExpert my baby is 7 month complete and Her wt is 5.4kg...she is at the time of birth her wt is 2 kg. is it normal... I am worried about her wt...

ExpertDr Priyanka KalraObstetrician and Gynaecologist4 years agoA. this is low.To increase weight you must add high energy foods like eggs paneer , soya , ghee in rice , khichdi etc.this will boost him ok.See when baby has any new complain then better avoid any self medication. Show to a doctor for right and timely diagnosis and treatment. Thays a safe procedure.

Oh Child is underweight at this age a child should be minimum 7 KG your child is little behind that weight of course so you should first consult a paediatrician to know as to why the weight gain is not happening if there is any supplement required to be started with you should go for that and consult a nutritionist as well
