#AskTheExpert My baby is 37 days old. l have been exclusively breastfeeding her. Suddenly yesterday she had trouble sucking. It seems like she has cold the way she breathes noisily. there is no running nose. The weather in my place at Tamilnadu is turning cold. How to help my baby to feed comfortably?

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy2 years agoA. nasal saline drops can be given again and again to the child because it is salt water which will help in decreasing the nasal blockage by clearing the mucus
try to prevent temperatudre variations around the child which is the most common cause of cough and cold in small children.can give indirect steam inhalation .
anti-cold medicines at this age have got side effects so can be gixven only after medical consultation.
for fever and pain give paracetamol
continue the regular diet which is being given to the child
