#AskTheExpert I have a question about thyroid.. I have got thyroid during my 1st pregnancy which was normal. Now i am 4 months pregnant of my 2nd pregnancy and I face same issue again and levels were little high. i am using 50mcg thyronorm tabs early in the morning as per my doctors advice. My tsh levels are now 6.98 and t4 is 12. t3 is normal in the ref range. please let me know if i need to change my thyronorm dosage as per this.

A. Usually if you are on thyroid medications then there for a lifetime. The ideal range of thyroid TSH levels during pregnancy is 2.5 and at least it should be maintained for less than five as yours is 6.98 you have to consult your doctor and increase the doseWrite Your Answer Here
