Q.

#asktheexpert hi my son had congenital CMV infection when he was born he had direct bilirubin high at the age of 2 month . We did 6 weeks antiviral medicine. So far he reached all his milestones. But my biggest concern is he gags and vomits a lot . Upto the age of 2 he eat only semi liquid food like khichadi and dialia. He just swallowed not chew any food . When he chew he gags and puke . Now he is 3 years old tolerant only certain food like chapati, banana, apple No veggies. He some time gags on his favourite food . Is this a normal thing or related to his past CMV infection.

A. I Think your child is having some issue with the throat you please get it checked with an ENT doctor to have a clarity over it because first you need to know whether it is because of some throat issue or some other issue it is not related to the Past whatever your child was facing but I think it’s currently with the chest and throat
