#AskTheExpert hi doctor my son is 72 days old he is having cold since a week but it is not running nose. we are using nasal drops but still cold persists

A. Hello, your baby boy is 73 days old and he is having a cold so use nasoclear nasal drops two times a day and give him 5 drops of maxtra three times a day

A. give steam fir now . Cough and cold may be due to any seasonal change and due to any viral infection . Ste can be given at home and if cough is much then asthakind can also be given to baby 3 times in a day and paracetamol for the fever .

A. Give plenty of liquids, including breast milk or formula (if your baby doesn't take breast milk). A small amount of water may be offered to your baby if they're over 6 months old.Suction out nasal mucus using saline drops and a suction bulb.Moisturize the air with a humidifier

Q. my baby is having running nose for a week now.. on day 1 and 2 he had running nose. day 3 he had running nose and cold, we took him to doctor and doctor gave us nasal drops, cold medicine day 4 no cold but still running nose - gave nasal drops day 5 he had cough and little fever plus running nose. so we gave fever and cough medicine plus nasal drops day 6 till day 9 still running nose is there we are still giving him nasal drops.. is it normal for baby to have running nose for these many days? my baby went through surgery on the first day of his life and now he is 10months old.. I more scared and not sure how to handle this situation..
