haroon is almost 4 months old and around 6 kgs. he had cold and caugh from past two days and I gave him maxtra drops: .4ml and kofarest pd: .4ml with nasivision drops. cold has reduced now but caught is still there but the main problem I see today is he is not taking feed at all.

Cough and Cold should be treated only after a proper examination by a doctor after diagnosis.it may be any infection or allergy.it is not so related to food items but seasonal changes may aggravate.maintain good immunity of the child with proper diet and supplements.
if with fever too ,calpol can be given three times a day.give steam inhalation to relieve blocked nose and nasoclear drops can also be used multiple times.
Cough Syrup or nebulization should be given according to the type of cough .self medication is not advisable. Zachif the cough is productive you can give ascoril-ls or ambrodil syrup for now only n continue only after doctor's advice.avoid refrigerated items and give only simple home-made preparations as required.child will gradually begin to eat as symptoms resolve.

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a  viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
coug egh needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
