Q.

#AskTheExpert Good afternoon, I have a son of 12 months. He stands with support and has started walking sideways holding things like cot or sofa etc. Few people suggested me to buy a walker, but I have read that walker is not good for toddlers/babies. What would be your advice?

A. a baby will start Sitting with support by 6 months of age and by 7 to 8 months baby will sit without support than by 9 months usually baby crawls and in 10 months baby will stand with support. After 12 to 15 months uobaby will start Walking independently and sometimes it may take even longer fbut in no case any Walker should be avoided as it can cause recurrent fall injury and delay in the walking because the child lacks confidence of walking independently.
