they are usually remnants of umbildicus post delivery. usually does not require any type of major treatment except neosporine powder application or t-bact cream application and maintenance of hygiene and proper cleanliness. idf it continues to persist beyond 6 months of age requires surgical intervention like quarterization or ligation removal

Yes this is normal in babies.
It will be in proper shape within six months after birth. If ur baby is active and comfortable otherwise, no signs of pain or discomfort then no need to worry.
