#AskTheExpert 1st dose of pcv vaccination can be given to 4.5month baby boy?we didn't took it in time due to skin disease.

A. yes pcv which also stands for pneumococcal vaccine is a very important vaccine and is mandatory for all children. at present the vaccine is that much important that the indian government is giving it now free of cost in regular vaccination schedule. meet your doctor whoo will tell you the schedule for pneumococcal vaccine. even if it was missed previously you can go for it now also. this vaccine prevents infection due to pneumococcal bacteria which can affect the brain throat chest the child

A. Hello If you did not get it done at that point of time then you can ask your doctor if they advise you to go ahead with now then you get it or now also some vaccinations can be given at a later age also if you want you can definitely ask your doctor and give it as of now as per doctors advice
