4 month old baby has a cold, and it's sounding harsh, will there be any problem?

A. This can occurs due to weather changes and temperature variations or simple cold and rarely infection. kindly give nasal saline drops (nasoclear /nasivion s)every three hourly and since it is a salt water/saline water it does not have any side effects and can be given again and again for nasal blockage and respiratory cough. It will dissolve mucus in nose and throat. For fever and pain give paracetamol Try to prevent temperature variations around the child and you can also give indirect steam inhalation and if there is no improvement in 2 or 3 days then meet your doctor continue breastfeeding of the child as frequently as possible

A. thank you for reaching out to us with this question please do not worry about the cold is very normal for a baby to get cold at least six to seven times before they turn 1 year old all you need to do is take precautions one is make sure you reached out to a pediatrician for medication secondly you can give steam so that he gets immediate relief and use nasoclear drops which will help clear the blockage
