Brihadratha Name Meaning

The name Brihadratha has its origin in ancient Indian mythology and Sanskrit literature. It is composed of two elements: "Brihad" meaning "great" or "large" and "ratha" meaning "chariot."

In Indian mythology, Brihadratha is mostly associated with King Brihadratha, who was the founder of the Magadha Dynasty. According to the legends, King Brihadratha was childless until he found two infants in a forest who later grew up to be his sons. Through his lineage, the famous king Jarasandha and other significant rulers of Magadha were born.
