during a consultation with the doctor you can always ask the doctor as for what purpose a particular medicine has been given.
it is the doctors dutty that the doctor will clarify why the medicine was given to the child.
all mediicines (except multivitamin and supplements) have got side effects but if it is needed it has to be given to the child
