Q.

what is mean by pneumonitis...is it tb and pneumonitis same.....

A. Pneumonia is inflammation of lungs caused by virus, bacteria other then those causing tuberculosis. It is usually short lasting and resolves with normal antibiotics. Tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis, causing fever, weight loss, cough. It's treatment is Antituberculous drugs given for 6-9 months.
