ExpertDr Arti SharmaPaediatrician8 years agoA. After circumcision leave your infant’s dressing on for 24 hours at least. and as per doctor's instructions. While wound is healing, apply a petroleum-based ointment (like Vaseline) to the end of the penis after every bath and with each diaper change. Swelling and redness is common, it will subside Give baby warm bath daily It can take up to a month for the penis to fully heal. If you notice redness spreading to thighs, vomiting, fever ,consult your Paediatrician

Shaista TarannumMom of a 17 yr 2 m old boy8 years agoA. just make sure he is in comfortable clothes. do not make him wear diaper for a few days. leave him open for a few minutes every day. if you are breastfeeding then avoid too much spicy food. stay close to him and cuddle him and soothe him. he will feel some discomfort initially then it will get better.

This is the most important rule of newborn circumcision care: At every diaper change, gently wipe away any bits of poop that you may see on the area. Use a gentle, unscented soap and warm water — not a baby wipe.
