the ideal height range of six month babies are 63.6 -71.4cm..my babies height is 62.5 CM.. is der will be any problem regarding height in future? which type of food will help to grow height as per range?

After six months, you can start giving semi solid foods to the baby, to start with give thick dal soup, mashed banana, suji kheer, later introduce mashed sweet potato, seasonal fruit purees, rice porridge, khichdi, yogurt. Initially give everything in small quantity and check response of the baby and gradually increase the quantity of the food. After nine months you can start solid foods like chapati mashed in dal, sift cooked rice, finger foods.

ExpertDr Bandana JoshiAyurvedic Physician7 years agoA. Height of the baby measures 50 cm at birth, 60cm at 3 months, 70cm at 9 months, 75 cm at one year of age. Average height of two year child is 90cm. The Indian child is 100cm tall at the age of four and half years. Afterwards, the child gains about 5 cm in height every year, until the age of 10 years.
