Swelling and redness near vaccination area on arm . Please tell the treatment.

A. Swelling and redness near the vaccination area is absolutely normal. This will be there for 3 to 5 days and then will subside on its own. you can just apply some ice for cold fomentation

A. After vaccination child may become irritable. give painkiller as prescribed by paediatrician. apply ice on the injection site intermittently. feed on demand. carry, soothe your child the side effects associated with the  vaccine are generally mild. The most common are pain, redness, or swelling at the injection site.   swelling will reduce on its own. you may apply ice on it for first 2 days to relieve pain. Thanks and take care
