ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist8 years agoA. continue to have a balanced diet during periods. non vegetarian foods are rich source of iron and hence should be consumed in periods as they can make up for the iron lost in menses. these food do not produce heat and I in fact are nutritious. avoid intake of highly processed salty foods which can cause water retention.
