my son suffering from influenza/ flu having fever 102 which goes down after crocin. he is on medication as prescribed by his doctor. but now he is refusing to eat anything and taking fluids in small quantity. (rare). please suggest what should be done so that he starts to eat some things and recover soon

Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congestion it may be a part of allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examination. steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like alex cold/ hatric 3/ sinarest. As a part of viral illness there could be associated symptoms like cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration nvneeds to be maintained .
