A. Drool rash happens when your baby's skin is wet with saliva for long periods of time and becomes irritated. The rash often happens when a baby is teething; because they often have their hands or a teething ring in their mouth, saliva easily drips out of their mouth onto their face.Facial rashes are common in babies and young children. The many possible causes include eczema, acne, and infection. Most rashes clear up without treatment. However, see a doctor if a rash is severe or persistent, or if it accompanies other symptoms.your baby is acting normally but has a mild rash or some hives, you could give your baby an antihistamine. Diphenhydramine (Benadryl) can provide comfort, but second-generation antihistamines like cetirizine (Zyrtec) and loratadine (Claritin) last longer and are less likely to make your baby sleepy, Using breast milk to treat baby acne might seem a little far-fetched, but some people swear by this remedy. To be clear, there's no science or research to support this claim. However, breast milk does have antimicrobial properties. This means it may reduce or destroy some microbes, like bacteria.

A. Rash from teething treatment Aloe vera mixed with petroleum jelly may help reduce some of the redness and inflammation from drool rash. Some parents may choose to use coconut oil or cocoa butter to help soothe rashes from teething
