My son is having fever with cold and vomiting with mucus

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. The first medicine will always be paracetamol and it is given according to weight and power of paracetamol medicine you are having.
Give liquids and easily digestible food and paracetamol should be given only after food.
Keep the child in cool environment and avoid using woolen clothes when the child is having fever
Armpit temperature of hundred or more is considered as fever
To body sponge to decrease the surface temperature and should be carried out for at least 20 minutes with normal temperature water.
Higher medicines whether required or not will be told by the doctor.
after vomiting wait for one hour then give vomiting medicine (syp ondem/emeset) and then again wait for one hour and then give only easily digestible food.
do not give anything to eat in this 2hr waiting period.
if vomiting occurs again then meet your doctor.
avoid giving milk andd heavy diet.
vomit usually occurs due to gastritis
