Let him make a mess and let him play with the food and this is how he will learn to eat independently. Offer more finger foods. Offer colourful foods and cut foods into different shapes using food cutters as shapes and colours attract the attention of the kid. Offer foods in colourful plates and quirky bowls. Try to offer small amounts of foods at one time but you can increase the frequency of the meals. Give him choices but it should be limited healthy choices. For example, do you want a paneer parantha or aloo parantha. This makes the child believe that he has made his own decision.
