#my daughter is 14minths old. she is having cough and cold since last week. And she is not taking her prescribed syrup, she spit it out every time that's why not getting well. please suggest how can I give her medicine and what else I can do to cure her cold at home.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussivdes medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the typec of cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
