A. It's not uncommon for young girls, especially around the time of their first period, to experience irregularities in the menstrual cycle. In your daughter’s case, her first period was followed by continuous flow and then a second period starting shortly after. This could be due to hormonal fluctuations as her body is still adjusting to the menstrual cycle. Sometimes, the body takes time to regulate itself after the first period, and it's normal to experience longer periods, spotting, or irregular cycles in the first few months to a year. Since you’ve already consulted a gynecologist, it's good that they are monitoring the situation. However, if the bleeding persists for an extended period, is very heavy, or if there are signs of pain, fatigue, or other health concerns, it's important to follow up with the gynecologist. The doctor may recommend hormonal treatment or other tests to ensure everything is on track.
