my baby suffering cold n cough last night.what's medicine can give him.

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough.
if fever isvf there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

First of all for cold get saline drops to put in the nose for easy breathing and please visit your pediatrician to get a syrup prescribed for cough the doctor will let you know in what quantity to give, also take some ajwain, loung and kapur and tie it in a cotton cloth, keep it where the baby sleeps, it will help in breathing
