A. urinary pattern in small children is totally different. they may pass more than 20 times per day urine also and sometimes they will pass urine again and again in only one hour. d the minimum requirement would be more than 7 times in 24 hours. if it is less give more breast feeding or milk and if it is more no need to worry if the child is not having any other complaint. there is no problem if the urine frequency is normal and the child is not passing urine at night d

A. Urine output in babies can vary widely, but generally, a healthy baby should wet their diaper around 6-8 times a day. Urinating only 3 or 4 times a day could be less than usual, especially if your baby is younger than 6 months. This could be a sign of dehydration or not getting enough fluids, especially if your baby is breastfed or formula-fed and hasn't increased solid intake significantly. Here are a few things to consider: 1. **Fluid Intake:** Ensure your baby is feeding well. If breastfeeding, check for signs of adequate milk intake (e.g., satisfied after feeding, swallowing sounds, etc.). If formula-feeding, check that your baby is drinking enough formula according to their age. 2. **Hydration:** Check for other signs of dehydration, such as dry mouth, no tears when crying, sunken eyes, or lethargy. 3. **Wet Diapers:** Keep track of the number of wet diapers over a few days to see if this is a consistent pattern or a temporary change. If your baby is otherwise happy, feeding well, and doesn't show any signs of illness or dehydration, this may not be a cause for immediate concern. However, if you're worried or if the decreased urine output persists, it's always a good idea to consult with your pediatrician for personalized advice and to rule out any potential issues.
