You could probably introduce one food at a time, from varied food groups,
You can apart from apple which needs to be stewed , you should also be include other seasonal fruits , vegetables, soups, ragi , siji porrdige, rice, dal, kichidi, home made cerealc mix, curds, ghee etc

Okay so giving an apple is just good but you have to focus upon an entire meal and diet for their child that is what is going to be important fruits one time and rest of the times you should focus more on giving proper three means of breakfast lunch and dinner to your child
