Q.

My baby is 7 months old dr. but he is still not able to sit for long time and also nit able to sit by his own.. so is it ok to be this much late or need any concern?

A. sitting without support and crawling in children may sometimes come after one year of age also. if the growth of the child is proper no need to worry. just take care of regular diet and bfaby massage which will help in strengthening the muscles needed for sitting and crawling. in some cases crawling may be absent in children and directly thfe child will begin to stand with support and later walk with support and then without support. take a medical check up done to confirm if there is need of any intervention.

A. If your baby isn't sitting on their own by age nine months, contact your pediatrician. It may be good to act sooner, especially if your baby is close to 9 months and is unable to sit with support. Development varies from baby to baby, but this may be a sign of a gross motor skill delay.
