my baby is 6months 3weeks but weight is 7kg is it fine ??? actually she is 2.2kg at time of birth??

A. yes it's optimum it should double the birth weight by 5 months of age Weight gain depeens upon birth weight and maturity of the baby if the baby is active and feeding adequately don't worry about it feed for 10 to 15 min from each side

A. Ideal weight of a 6 months old baby can ve between 7 to 7.5 kgs depending on birth weight and feeding patterns. Your baby's weight is fine. You can now include semi solid foods in the diet like lentil puree, apple, pear and carrot puree, ragi and sooji porridge, mashed banana, home made cerelac, etc. as it will also help in gaining weight.
