baby s 2yrs old so 
For nasal blockage give naso clear saline drops which should be put in nose 2 drops each.
Can give otrivin pediatric nasal drops 2- 3 drops each nose.
Can give indirect steam inhalation in which steam is just in surrounding of baby. It can help to remove mucus by coughing process.
Apply vicks vaporub over back and chest of baby 
In case baby has abnormal breathing sounds so soon see a doctor as it needs auscultation and  examination.
For dry cough no medicine is advised for wet cough can give ascoril LS / Asthakind LS/ Ambrodil LS ml 
It s a false belief or myth that food products can cause cold like banana ,egg , ghee, orange , kiwi etc as cold is an infection and not due to foods items
