my 2 year baby boy urine smells like ammonia... what is the reason... he doesnt show fever, irritation

ExpertDr Mahesh PatilPaediatrician5 years agoA. Hello, your baby boy is 2.3 years old and his pee is smelling like ammonia so don’t worry it’s a smell of uric acid mimicking like ammonia smell so just give him plenty of water

Dr GhouseGuardian of 3 children5 years agoA. Faizabad the baby is two months whenever baby passes urine you have to change the diaper immediately if you keep it for some time there will be chemical reaction and leads to ammonia formation which can lead to diaper rashes also

Hello mam you don’t is normally stinky only but still if you feel that you have a particular smell you feel in your child’s urine and I would advise you to consult your paediatrician regarding the same as he’ll be able to give you a much better clarity over the issue that is it actually normal or there is some issue with it.Write Your Answer Here
