By the time children turn one, their body can digest almost everything adults eat.
Don’t give liquids like milk or juices before meal time.
Limit the milk intake to maximum 32 ounces ( Try to give with cup)so that baby has enough room for solids.
give all family food in soft and little mashed form..don't give puree form.Porridges should not be watery. It should be thick enough not to fall off the spoon.
By 1 year, baby should be taking 3 meals + 1 or 2 snacks.
Babies need good fats like ghee, unsalted butter, coconut, etc. Normal cooking oil whichever the family uses can also be used.
Now you can give egg white, butter, Hing, very little salt and sugar, cheese.

After one year of age, there is no particular diet plan to be followed you should give a nutritious and balanced diet comprising of all food groups to the child. Like chapati, cereals, oats, lentils, peas, beans, milk and milk products, seasonal fruits and green leafy vegetables, add Desi ghee or butter in meals.

SanthoshiMom of a 8 yr 4 m old girl7 years agoA. You can give everything that you normally have. Let it be less oily and also let it less spicy. Include a veggie and fruit everyday to avoid constipation. Also include few nuts everyday.
