Hello.
I am a mother of a 5 months young girl.
I have been using diapers all the time for her.
From my experience, I see diaper rashes only when either I forget applying diaper rash cream or i leave her in the same diaper for a long while (more than 3-4 hours) (sorry, i am a mother ... but i do forget sometimes too....)

Try Pampers active baby diapers (don't use pant style diapers if u r finding elastic marks on baby's skin and redness) 
For new borns till 3 months Newborn size works well.
S size upto 4.5 months.
At 5 months the M (medium) size should do well !!!!!

I tried pant style diapers and threw the pack half way through because it seemed to be hurting my baby girl.
I have not faced any problems so far.
Even when i need to take care of her poop, it's very easy to dispose off within that diaper

I do use, Mee Mee Wet wipes (you can try Himalaya also) I have not tried any other so can't say about those. Don't use regular fragrant wet wipes, they are not child friendly.

I also apply Himalaya diaper rash cream generously and use Himalaya/coconut oil sometimes instead of cream.

I leave her without diaper only during her bath time.

i think it would not be safe 
because using diper day and night cause rash to your baby and baby may feel uncomfortable 
and start crying because of redness and pain 
allow the skin to breathe if possible avoid dipper at day 
i think pamper premium care is good one I use that pants for my baby

Diaper rash prevention is very important where certain things should be kept in mind specially in winter season. 
Changing your baby's diaper immediately  after it gets soiled is the key to prevention of diaper rash
Air dry when possible
 •  A good company diaper like pampers/ babyhug/ mamy poko should be used and diaper free interval in between is very important.
Use irritant free products
Use a goodgf diaper rash cream before and after using diaper like easinappy cream .
Also apply coconut oil to make the skin moist.
