PallaviMom of a 7 yr 9 m old girl4 years agoA. hello...Many doctors don't recommend gripe water as sometimes it contains alcohol which can cause developmental issues innbaby... actually babies cry for several hours over days or weeks because of gas problem n as herbs in gripe water help with digestion, this remedy is thought to help with colic caused by gassiness.... n also used for teething pain and hiccups..but it's not always helpful so ones trying is not a bad idea..
