Q.

Is it safe to insert suppository....my 1 n a half month baby hasn't passed stools for 6 days...Doc says insert the suppository however I don't want to make it a habit as I am aware new born baby can pass stools in 7-8 days.

A. Not an issue. My son sometimes donot poop upto 7 days. you can put some glycerine or oil in his anus and eat fibrous food. I started to give him dabour ghutti and hamdard naunihaal gripe syrup it is really helpful.

A. Please wait for another two to three days. It's better to consult with your doctor and take actions accordingly. Home remedies are good but it might take a longer time.

A. It's normal some babies poop 6 to 8 times a day and some once in 5 to 6 days don't worry if the baby is active and healthy otherwise and not crank

A. Yes it's normal don't use if the baby is active and healthy otherwise and not cranky massage the baby's tummy in clockwise and counterclockwise direction around navel and press the baby's knees gently on the tummy and give some tummy time take some hot water put a hand towel and squeeze out excess water check the cloth on your skin first and put it on the baby's tummy and burp the baby during and after feed
