Breast milk is the recommended source of nutrition for infants, especially during the first six months of life.
Its better to wait till 6 months by that time baby's bowel will be mature enough to accept semi solid foods

POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy3 years agoA. Water is not recommended for infants under six months old because even small amounts will fill up their tiny bellies and can interfere with their body's ability to absorb the nutrients in breast milk or formula.
