Q.
Is it really necessary to take complete bed rest for 40 days after c section? I believe we should do minor work so that our body heals rapidly. Elders insist for complete bed rest but I don't want to be completely dependent on others for little work. Is it true if we don't take rest now then we have to regret later in life?

that's fine
it is important to follow the instructions opinion advice and medicines course given by your doctor for the problem .
they are safe if given by registered medical practitioner. do not take medicines not prescribed by the doctor .
take a follow up in few days if it is not improving for need of treatment modification or any lab / radiological investigations.
