Q.
is it okay if we feed the baby with nipple shield for 6 months. due to flat nipples I'm feeding with nipple shield. my baby is 2 months old now. will it reduce the supply in coming days? am literally worried since howmuch ever I try my baby doesn't latch. hardly 2 to 3 mins he latches. and due to nipple confusion he cries so I end up using nipple shield. please advice

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 1 Year agoA. if you hold the baby in proper position so that the nipples are in the centre of the mouth of the baby the baby feels easy to latch hand also your breast milk secretion will increase
