Breast milk or formula milk..farex is good but .home made cerelac is more healthy...you can give cerelac stage 1 too Mashed banana Stewed apple Well steamed and pureed vegetables like carrots, sweet potato, pumpkin , french beans Pulse soup (moong dal ka pani) Rice Water (Chawal ka pani) Homemade single-grain cereals like rice, barley, oats mixed with breastmilk or formula milk Steamed and pureed fruits like pear, avocado, peach, chikoo. homemade vegetable soup

Vritika AroraMom of a 9 yr 4 m old boy7 years agoA. farex products are packed nutritional foods for babies. I would always suggest homemade foods for babies and avoid packed foods. breast feed the baby till six months and start with semi solids only after six months. For 6 months old baby you should start with 1 meal in a day along with breast feeding. Prefer to give food in the morning so that if the child has some allergy or discomfort due to food then you will get to know. The food should be properly mashed and the puree should be very thin so the baby can easily swallow it. Rest there is no fix guide line.keep on try after some gaps if the baby spits out. Even if the baby eats 1-2 spoons then also it's ok rest it depends on baby to baby. Always start with fruit purees. You can give mashed bananas apple puree pear puree avocados prunes puree apricots puree .avoid combined fruits. Carrot puree mashed potato sweet potato pumpkin puree peas puree can be given. You can also give moongdaal water mashed oats mashed ragi or rice water. You can even introduce clear soup or tomato soup in winters.
