Q.

iam giving ragi porridge to my 9 months old baby I can see ragi in her stools. is it normal or due to indigestion?

A.   its normal in babies to have adult like poop once started on semisolids. also some eaten material might come in stools as digestive system is not completely developed. still nutritients get absorbed. so dont worry. continue your care.

A. this is normal. it does not mean that the baby is not digesting. do not worry. but avoid ragi regularly in summer as basically it is a winter food. it keeps the mother and the baby warm. you can give it twice a week in summer.

A. May it's not cooked properly.. Wash ragi seeds thoroughly for four to five times. And soak it overnight. Take some ragi in a mixer and blend it well. Add little little water and keep adding remaining ragi and blend it. Now filter the blended mix to extract the ragi water. Which would be n cream color. Add little water and cook the milk. Keep string well until it becomes like porridge. You can add little jaggery for taste. You can add ghee to it post seven months.
