A. Dear mom,
please avoid giving anything so called "refined" to your baby. as babies are at their growing stages , it is important that we should only give the food which is nutritious enough. As we are food bodies , we become what we eat. our bodies are not meant to digest the dead food which is available in the market in the form of packaged food. it does not offer anything good to the body. This is difficult to follow keeping in mind our busy life but for our babies , these little changes will reap huge benefits in the future as far as their health is concerned.
Stay calm. Enjoy Motherhood.

A. Biscuits are not healthy replacement of nutritious food. As they have maida which is not healthy for babies and it takes more time to digest. There are fruits, pulses and some vegetables which u can introduce

A. Better not. Refined wheat flour is bad in many ways. If u want to add ragi in the child's diet u can add it as ragi dosa or porridge. Biscuits will constipate the baby and will fill the tummy. Then the baby will start resisting other foods. So always restrict biscuits to travel times as instant foods. At home try giving healthy snacks to babies.

A. Hi. No it is not good for the baby specially at six months. At this age you should be giving more nutritious food which will help the child to get a healthy growth. Avoid biscuits in any form. You can start with fruits purees or mashed. You can give vegetables either steamed or boiled and mashed. Apple, banana, chickoo, avocado, sweet potato, ragi, potatoes, papaya, are great options to start with . You can also give Dal rice slightly overcooked. khichdi, daliya, oats etc. Add ghee and butter into the baby's diet. At the beginning one meal a day is fine and you can increase it with another meal gradually. offer few sips of water after every meal to maintain oral hygiene.
