i have applied thrombophob on affected area after the vaccienation. Immediately the skin is reddish. is this okay?

ExpertDr Prerna PatelObstetrician and Gynaecologist7 years agoA. after vaccination there is no need to apply fr throbophob ointment .stop using it ,if applied take it off and clean the area .it is not advisable to apply any short to cream of lotion to that area if pain and swelling present just apply ice cube and if baby gt fever nothing has to be done just give paracetmol syp

ExpertDr Laxmi Chavan-SawantAyurvedic Gynaecologist 7 years agoA. You should not apply anything over the area of vaccination. It effects the vaccine efficacy. Redness is natural after vaccination, due to body reaction to the organism present in vaccine. cream or ice pack should never be applied on the area.

A. It’s quite normal. Thrombophob turns the skin red generally.
